Ah yes, Tataki Tsukeru Reitoupanchi, my favourite quasi-japanese nezumi man. Did you know? His and Michael's ship name is BobMike (I made it up for myself but you can use it too). Personally, I believe that ratmen are one of the, if not the greatest of Howdie s creations simply because of a simple idea of kemonomimi being deconstructed in such an unique way. Where exactly does the line between human and animal blend? Where does one ends and the other begins? They are very much just humans with funny animal hats but at the same time they are also very much just giant sapient rats. These two essences of their nature co-exist next to each other and blur into one another just enough to form a hybrid known as the ratmen. They are nothing like catmen and they are nothing like Sebastian. They are animals but they're not "funny", in fact Robert's fate to be stuck in the Buddhist cycle of death and rebirth is rather tragic. But even if he's just a dirty, hungry stray rat bastard he is so lovable that my heart can't stop bursting everytime I see fanart of him and the co. online. I wish him well, maybe one day he will be able to surpass the cycle and die for once and all, or better yet, be reborn for real, either as a rat or a human. Even he no longer has "Robert Takeuchi" attached to him as a name in his core this is what he will always be - a "Present Day Problem". Robāto-kun daisuki desu <3.
